At seventeen, Katarina is a successful ballerina, despite having a prosthetic eye from a young age. She demonstrates strength and grace as she has overcome a life threatening illness and the loss of her mother in the same year. She channels the words of her late Mother reciting the Serenity Prayerand yet follows the guidance of the Invictus poem to be the master of her own fate.
